One region, 33 different answers

The same 38 lists, read against 33 Asian countries

Asia holds 33 of the 122 countries covered here and averages 8.7 refusals per country, the second lowest of the six regions. The average is the least useful thing on this page: inside it, Iraq draws 21 refusals and Kazakhstan draws 2, from the same 38 documents.

Asia holds 33 of the 122 countries covered here. Crossed against the 38 published territory lists, the region averages 8.7 refusals per country — second lowest of the six regions, and almost useless as a guide to any one of the 33.

Four documents, read separately: the company named on the licence certificate in the issuing register, the permit number and where it was read, how many countries the operator excludes in its own terms, and when identity documents are demanded. The company column comes from the register in every row, never from an operator's own pages. The country count is the length of a list the operator published, not our estimate of where it will accept you. An empty cell means the document was not read — it is not a zero, and it is not a permission.

The range inside one region

Iraq draws 21 of the 38 lists. Israel draws 18, Pakistan 15, Lebanon 14. At the other end Kazakhstan draws 2 and the United Arab Emirates 4.

Between those ends sits a crowd. Thirteen of the 33 countries land within one refusal of 7 — Japan, South Korea, Malaysia, Bangladesh, Qatar, Nepal, Sri Lanka, Taiwan, Hong Kong and Mongolia at 7, then Indonesia, the Philippines, Vietnam, Thailand and Oman at 8.

Seven is not a coincidental number. It is what a country scores when the seven longest published lists name it and nobody else does. Those seven clauses run to more than 90 of the 122 countries each and account for 61 per cent of all the refusals counted on this site, which is set out at the seven schedules that do most of the refusing.

So a large part of this region's middle band is one bloc of documents, repeated.

The two countries that break the pattern

South Korea and the United Arab Emirates carry the lesson between them.

South Korea sits at 7, and all seven come from the bloc. Not one operator outside those seven long lists names the country. The count is a portfolio decision reproduced across brands rather than seven separate readings of one market.

The United Arab Emirates sits at 4, and none of the four comes from the bloc. CryptoLeo, Nine Casino, Rocketpot and Wolf.bet each named it in a clause of their own. Two of those four — CryptoLeo and Nine Casino — share a company and a Curaçao permit, so the four are three decisions; even discounted, they are three specific ones.

A four built out of specific clauses is a stronger signal than a seven built out of one bloc, and no ranking that orders operators by a country count will ever show that.

Kazakhstan makes the same point at the bottom of the range. Its 2 refusals are CryptoLeo and Nine Casino, which is one company writing one clause and printing it on two shopfronts.

Seven of the 38 lists name more than 90 of the 122 countries each — Oshi Casino 105, Mirax 103, 7Bit Casino 102 — and those seven account for most of what a mid-table country scores.

Who does the naming across the region

Twenty-seven of the 38 lists reach at least one Asian country.

Seven of the 27 do almost all of it: Mirax, Oshi Casino and Slotum at 30 of the 33 countries each, 7Bit Casino and Bitdreams at 29, Bitkingz at 28, PlayAmo at 26. Each of those clauses effectively covers the region.

CryptoLeo and Nine Casino sit next at 13 apiece, and their 13 are the interesting ones because they include markets the long lists skip — Kazakhstan, Armenia, Azerbaijan, Uzbekistan, Jordan and Türkiye among them.

Then the tail. Rocketpot names 7, Wild.io and Winz.io 6, Wild Fortune, Rakebit and BitStarz 5, Bets.io, Metaspins and Wolf.bet 4, and eight more operators name one, two or three countries each. Bitcasino.io, Shuffle, Empire.io, Instant Casino, CoinCasino and Nitrobetting reach exactly one Asian country apiece.

A single Asian country inside an otherwise unrelated clause is the sharpest kind of entry in this whole index: somebody wrote that one name deliberately. Bitcasino.io's whole territorial clause reaches one of the 122 countries, and that country is Japan, which is set out at the clause of one.

What this region's counts do not settle

Nothing on this page is a statement about law. Gambling regulation across these 33 countries ranges from licensed and taxed to prohibited outright, it is written by governments rather than by casinos, and none of it appears in the documents counted here. A country's absence from an operator's clause is not a permission, and this site converts it into one nowhere.

Nothing here settles the cashier either. Payment providers keep territory rules of their own, applied when money moves rather than when an account opens, and they appear in no clause read for this index.

And every count above describes 38 documents on one reading. Sixty-two operators in the library published nothing that was opened, and those 62 sit behind every figure on this page as a permanent blank.

Country by country, the figures live on their own pages: Japan, South Korea, India, Singapore, Indonesia and the rest of the 33.

Questions people actually type

How many operators exclude Asian countries in their own terms?
Twenty-seven of the 38 whose lists were read name at least one of the 33 Asian countries. The heaviest are Mirax, Oshi Casino and Slotum at 30 countries each, then 7Bit Casino and Bitdreams at 29, Bitkingz at 28 and PlayAmo at 26. Below that group the drop is steep: CryptoLeo and Nine Casino name 13 apiece, Rocketpot 7, and the rest fewer than 7.
Which Asian country is named by the most operators?
Iraq, at 21 of the 38 lists. Israel follows at 18, Pakistan at 15 and Lebanon at 14. Those four sit well above the regional average of 8.7 and above the whole-index average of 9.3, and their counts are built from short lists as well as long ones, which is what separates them from countries carried by the long lists alone.
Why is the regional average a poor guide?
Because the region has no middle. Thirteen of the 33 countries sit within one refusal of 7, which is where the seven longest lists alone put a country, while four sit at 14 or above and three sit at 4 or below. An average of 8.7 describes a shape that barely exists in the data, and every country page carries its own figure for that reason.
Does a low count for my country mean operators will accept me?
No. A count records how many published clauses name a country, out of 38 lists read. Sixty-two operators in the library published nothing that was read, payment providers apply territory rules of their own at the moment money moves, and any clause can be amended without notice. A name in a clause settles a refusal; a low number settles nothing in the other direction.
