Zambia, counted

Seven clauses name Zambia, drawn from a third of the library

Seven barred-territory clauses name Zambia. They come out of the 38 documents this index managed to read from a library of a hundred operators, so the figure rests on roughly a third of the shelf.

Seven clauses, out of thirty-eight that opened

Seven barred-territory clauses name Zambia, each pulled on 26 August 2026 out of an archived copy of the page printed alongside it. Thirty-one further clauses opened with the market absent from them, and sixty-two brands on the hundred-name shelf hold a document this reading failed to reach.

A figure with a third of the shelf behind it

Sixty-two documents outweigh the thirty-eight that opened, and the proportion changes how the seven should be read. It is seven out of thirty-eight retrieved clauses rather than seven out of a hundred brands, and the difference between those two statements is the whole of the honest version.

The seven that did open share one property: every one is a sweep, running from ninety-five entries at Bitdreams to 105 at Oshi Casino. The shortest document carrying a Zambian line therefore covers three-quarters of the markets counted here. Narrow paperwork was read in this pass — thirty-one documents stop at forty entries or fewer — and all thirty-one leave the market out.

The gap with the market next door

Zimbabwe finishes on sixteen. Nine additional documents reach it, and all nine are short: eleven entries at CoinCasino, fourteen at Bets.io, nineteen at Playbet.io, twenty at Instant Casino, twenty-two at Metaspins, twenty-six at Rocketpot, thirty-seven at BitStarz, and thirty-eight apiece at Nine Casino and CryptoLeo. Two adjoining markets, a difference of nine documents, and every one of the nine drawn from a schedule somebody shortened deliberately.

Further round the region the totals settle lower. Tanzania matches Zambia at seven, Uganda reaches twelve, and the African range across fifteen markets runs from an empty count at South Africa up to Zimbabwe's sixteen.

The limits of a silent clause

Thirty-one opened documents leave the market outside their text, and the weight they carry ends at that sentence.

Publication is one gate among several. A processor sitting behind the cashier keeps its own accepted-territory rules, held in commercial paperwork that stays private. Identity checks tend to fall due at the payout stage rather than at the deposit. Five of the seven links in the table point to regional editions written for Australian, Canadian or German audiences, which shows how loosely these texts attach to any one readership.

The sixty-two, and why they print blank

Sixty-two of the hundred keep a clause this reading could not open. Terms had shifted elsewhere, a page insisted on a signed-in account, or the stored copy came back corrupted.

Those cells stay empty in the comparison table further down. An empty cell records the limit of the work, and reading it as clearance would convert a gap into a recommendation. How we read defines the three groups.

Commercial drafting, weighed apart from statute

Everything counted here belongs to the commercial side of the paperwork. A firm writes its schedule to manage its own exposure, revises it as licence conditions and banking arrangements move, and publishes the result with the argument left out.

Zambian legislation arrives from instruments this survey has stayed away from, and the question is left entirely with them. Both look like rules on a screen, and only one of them went through a parliament. The country index keeps the same boundary elsewhere.

What each operator publishes about itself: the company named on the licence, the permit number and where it was read, how many countries the operator excludes in its own terms, and when identity documents are demanded. The country count is the length of a list the operator published, not our estimate of where it will accept you. An empty cell means the document was not read — it is not a zero, and it is not a permission.

Questions people actually type

How many operators bar Zambia in their own terms?
Seven of the thirty-eight clauses retrieved on 26 August 2026, every one from an archived capture. Thirty-one retrieved clauses carry no Zambian entry, and sixty-two of the hundred brands in the library keep a document this reading never reached.
Why does the size of the unread group matter here?
Because it sets the scale of the figure. Seven names come out of thirty-eight documents, and the remaining sixty-two were never opened. A reader who treats seven as a share of the whole market is working from a third of the shelf without knowing it, which is why the unread group is printed alongside every total on this site.
How does Zambia compare with Zimbabwe?
Zimbabwe collects sixteen entries against Zambia's seven, the widest gap between neighbouring African markets in this index. All nine of the additional documents naming Zimbabwe are short ones, running from eleven entries to thirty-eight, and each of the nine passes over Zambia.
Is this page about Zambian gambling law?
It is a survey of contract terms. A barred-territory clause is drafted by an operator about its own service and amended at that operator's discretion. Zambian legislation has separate authors and separate documents, and legal questions belong with them.
